About me

I got my first camera from Santa Claus when I was 12, and after almost 25 years I’m still captivated every time I hit the shutter.  I’ve had much guidance from my grandfather who was a professional photographer and had the unique talent of seeing a photoshop action and translating it into how you’d get that effect in an analog dark room.

For a while, I worked as a professional photographer but quickly discovered that working against deadlines and within set boundaries isn’t something I particularly enjoy in photography. I swapped back to a “regular” day job, and have ever since even more enjoyed creating pictures.

I’ve experimented with many different kinds of subjects, and found that I most enjoy a bit of human interaction and chaos which led to a portfolio that has been described as “elegantly orchestrated chaos” and “storytelling portraiture”. Although I’m a tech enthusiast, I’ve always admired the timelessness, pureness, and rawness of black & white photography.

For the largest part, I am an auto-didact stuck in a loop of trial and error. I have also followed some master classes and workshops with a few renowned professional photographers, which allowed me quick steps forward.

My first pictures ever on display were those of a ballerina. She walked into my life one day and never walked back out. We have been married since February 2020.
